ABOUT ME

My name is Sabrina and I am a dog trainer based in North London. I have  worked with dogs professionally for over 4 years with a large variety of dog breeds, working with other dog trainers/behaviourists and completed various courses and undertaken assessments for my  APDT & ABTC - ATI accreditations. I also work for another company teaching classes and doing training walks in West London.

With everything I've learnt & all the experience I've gained, I believe it is important to use force free, science backed methods when working with dogs and their owners. Trust is a key component here, as well as giving our dogs a clear indication of what we want from them. I am passionate about helping dogs and owners live happily and harmoniously, and we need to use science backed methods which are applicable to real life, whilst building strong bonds and trust with our dogs.

MY JOURNEY

I began working with dogs professionally in 2021, although I have always loved dogs and had them growing up. I started off working in a doggy day care, a dog lovers dream! However after noticing the flaws within daycare and how it can affect our dogs I left in 2022 to begin building my career as a dog walker and sitter, offering mainly 121 services. I continually became more and more interested in training and why our dogs behave the way they do (which was evident from the amount of dog training shows I watched as a kid!), and so I embarked on my training journey.

After completing a variety of courses, and becoming an APDT Trainer & ABTC Animal Training Instructor, I now work with dogs doing 121 sessions with them and their owners, as well as offering Training Walks.

MY APPROACH

I am really passionate about helping people and their dogs as I know what a big difference it can make to yours and their quality of life. I know training problems can be stressful and hard to tackle, so I believe it is important to take a non-judgemental empathetic approach so you feel comfortable and know that no question is too silly!

I believe it is also really important cater to different learning styles, as I know how difficult it can be when you don't understand something from personal experience. I will adapt the way we work to you and your dog, in order for you to get the most out of sessions.

In sessions I use reward based training, which is dependent on what motivates your dog, including treats, play and praise.
